In appreciation of my dad’s birthday today I thought I would post just one line of my favorite cleaning products. How does this relate to my dad? I just so happen to buy it at his hardware store! “Buy” is a loose term when it comes to me and the countless things I seem to find at his store. I “put it on my tab” and dread the day I finally get billed! I’m 25 and still rely on my dad to take care of me…emotionally and financially! Come on parents…you know even though you want your children to grow and be independent, you still hope they come running back to you!

Mrs. Meyers is one of my favorite cleaning lines. They have just about everything you would need! They have amazing scents including lavender, basil, geranium, and my new favorite honeysuckle! All products do not contain chlorine bleach, ammonia, petroleum distillates, parabens, phosphates or phthalates. Mrs. Meyers uses plant-based ingredients and does not test on animals. Their packaging is recyclable and they use 25% post consumer plastic in their bottles. These are just a few of the reasons that I love their products for my home!

Their products are not anti-bacterial. There are a lot of studies showing that antibacterial may be more harmful than useful. Washing your hands with soap and warm water for 20 seconds does just as well as antibacterial soap would do, and doesn’t pose the same risks. It takes a chemical to be antibacterial…the last thing you want it to be putting chemicals on your skin…EVERYDAY! (I hope you wash your hands everyday :) ) Chemicals leave a residue that you can easily pick up around your house. Better to clean safe…than sorry!

Their products are the best!! Fred Meyer, which is where all the Mrs. Meyers products come from, is the huge grocery chain up here and their products are the best :)
